This is the newest audit I offer, and I’ll say upfront: it matters more for some industries than others. Part of the audit is telling you honestly where yours sits, not assuming it’s urgent because the topic is trendy.

What’s actually different here

AI answers aren’t just re-ranked search results. ChatGPT, Claude, Perplexity and Google’s AI Overviews pull from a mix of your site, third-party mentions, reviews and forum threads, then synthesise an answer — often without a click-through at all. Being “SEO optimised” doesn’t automatically mean being cited.

What I test

Real questions your customers would actually type, run across each platform, with the actual answers recorded. From there I can see whether you’re mentioned, whether a competitor is mentioned instead, and what’s likely driving that.

What you get out of it

A clear-eyed view of where you stand today, and specific changes worth making — structuring content so it’s easy to extract and cite, tightening up the third-party mentions that feed these answers, that kind of thing. If it turns out this isn’t a priority for your industry yet, I’ll tell you that too.
